When we talk about monuments to visit in Lisbon, Castelo de São Jorge clearly belongs to the importante list .
Castelo de São Jorge is undoubtedly one of the most emblematic monuments of Lisbon, located in one of the seven hills of the city, more specifically the highest one, which allows a magnificent view of the Tagus river and much of the capital.
The castle has about 6,000 square meters, where we can highlight the courtyards, watchmen, moats, towers and viewpoints with iron cannons, which can have a fabulous view of the city.
In addition to the viewpoints, the Obscure Camera and the permanent exhibition, you may also enjoy a nice coffee in the Café do Castelo, and a typical portuguese meal at Restaurant Casa do Leão (opens every day from 12h30 to 11h00 p.m.).
Follow our advice and be sure to visit Castelo de São Jorge, after all it is not every day that you can visit a medieval castle in the city center of a capital with a view that leaves us dazzled.
